We have been in the corporate and private luxury industry for a decade including many years at several of Europe's prestigious brands before building AFTR events. 
Together we have backgrounds in Law, Bridal Styling and Interior design and we maintain the highest level of professionalism, but what we are most proud of is the genuine connection we build with our clients- many of whom remain dear friends long after their event.

FOUNDER OF A flair to remember

I'm Gabby Koya (some know me as Buki) and I'm the creative maestro behind AFTR. I grew up in the countryside in the west of Ireland, born to Nigerian parents! I passionately believe that life is precious and should be full of beautiful moments and celebrations. A Flair to Remember was born out of my love and passion for creating exhilarating, memorable events for my clients. As cliche as it may sound, I feel I was born to do this.

I started my career in Biarritz, France as a sous chef and sommelier working with some of the most exclusive brands across Europe before moving to the UK to run events for one of the UK's largest private banks and a leading UHNW Private Members Club in Mayfair, London. I love events and I've been designing and delivering luxury experiences for over a decade for bespoke events and global marketing for high net worth and luxury clients.
I've always worked in the hospitality world- running AFTR is literally my dream job! I feel privileged and blessed to be able to celebrate life and I get to express my creativity through my work on a daily basis.

MY FAVOURITE THINGS: My husband, the most supporting partner a girl can ask for, my 2 beautiful boys – they are the best little humans on the planet • Wine – I will always have a glass of wine with my food. Travelling – I've lost count! Any opportunity to travel, soak my feet in the sand... I just want to see as much of this incredible world as I can! Baking and Cooking- You will always catch me in the kitchen, cooking up a storm and hosting dinner parties.
My job is to coordinate the many parts of the AFTR organisation to deliver outstanding events for you. I personally ensure every brief is delivered and every client and family leave their event in astonishment. The most amazing part of every event is the astonishment and emotion on a client's face when all 5 senses of an event comes together beautifully.  Simply sublime!

Oyinkansola Kuku A.K.A Oyin, the smiley-yet-firm one!

Since joining AFTR, I have been a lead planner on 28 events so far... including destination weddings and milestone celebrations. Since I have a Law degree, I'm all too familiar with meticulously combing through paperwork and contracts, negotiating to get the best deals in the market and spending countless hours carrying out research. I am very particular about the smallest details and you can trust me to do all the “less-exciting’’ but crucial leg work of your event (so you don’t have to).

One thing you’ll likely hear clients say about me is that I always lighten the mood with my smile and humour. In clients’ meetings, you will often find me pitching the idea of a giant ball pit, adult bouncy castle, edible mist machines and so much more-I always look out for refreshing ideas to add an extra wow factor!

LITTLE MISS GIGGLES

I’m Sharelle, but everyone calls me Shells! I will always be present to provide the calming influence that everyone requires throughout the day. I have an all-round creative background in Bridal styling, design & planning and during the week, I work at a Bridal Boutique Store so you could say I'm fully immersed in the wedding world. When it comes to wedding planning, I believe in providing a unique experience for each couple. In my spare time, I love going on holiday and enjoying fine dining.


Seeing our clients' live reactions to the final outcome of their event and their guests having a good time after months of planning is truly rewarding and makes all of the hard work and long hours worthwhile.

THE PARTY STARTER

Hi, I am Titilayo Olaoke, I am an entrepreneur and I have a background in design. I joined AFTR in 2019 but I feel like I have been a part of it from way before- it's been beautiful to watch the growth and evolution of AFTR from close. I love bringing an idea together into a concept and watching it all come to life on the day of the event. It is a magical feeling watching the face of clients marvel at the end results. I love creating and have a deep love for DIYs which usually comes in handy in the planning world, where you sometimes have to think and solve/fix curve balls at a minute's notice, I pride myself in being a sound support system and in being calm, cool and collected and always at hand and ready when needed.
The AFTR team is a family and all the girls are like sisters, a family that keeps expanding yearly to include clients and vendors and that is the magic here.

THE QUIRKY ONE

As part of Team AFTR, I'm often in charge of co-ordinating the guests on event day. I'm the chaperone ensuring all your guests feel at home, are comfortable and  know where to be at all times during the event. I strongly believe that 'Life is short' so in my spare time, you’ll find me longboarding occasionally! I enjoy making food as much as I enjoy eating it so I will often make elaborate brunches that take over 1 hour! I’m a software developer in addition to wedding planning which brings balance to the logical, organised, creative & social parts of my brain.

I come from a big family, so bringing people together is my thing!

I am Larissa and I studied International Events Management at university. I've often the vendor liaison on the event day or couple coordinator looking after the bride and groom. I’d say my favourite part of a wedding/event is when it all comes together on the actual day! I enjoy going the extra mile to make sure the bride fits in her dress and walks down the aisle on time (trust me, it takes a whole village). I love seeing the joy on the day and to know that I played a role is so satisfying.

Working with the AFTR team, we are like siblings. There’s never a dull moment when we are all in the same room and the support we give each other is like no other. I have learned so much within the past four years with AFTR and I am excited for the future.

Hello I’m Maureen, I've been with AFTR since 2019. Events and hospitality have always been my first love but I also have a background in human resources and recruitment. I knew from my first wedding trial that this industry and specifically AFTR was the company I wanted to be in.
Every wedding I work in, reminds me of how much I love seeing events and celebrants come alive. Weddings are especially beautiful and the joy and romance is dreamy.  My favourite part of the job is seeing this and having the guests enjoy these memorable moments.

I grew up watching weddings and events daily. One thing about me is my obsession with fragrances. Out of all the AFTR 5 senses, this is my favourite!
